Developed in competition to take Ducati’s racing DNA off the track, the new Desmo450 MX —presented during the Ducati World Première 2026 (here’s the link to watch the episode)—has arrived in dealerships. Deliveries of the Desmo450 MX have begun in Europe and will continue in the United States, where the first bikes will arrive by the end of July.
To celebrate this milestone in its history, Ducati is offering all enthusiasts a video that chronicles the assembly of the bikes rolling off the line at the Borgo Panigale factory. The video follows every stage of the Desmo450 MX production process : from the engine and chassis to the first start-up, the aesthetic completion, and the final checks in the Aesthetics and Finishing department.
The first riders are currently receiving their Desmo450 MX bikes, finally enjoying the incredible work of the engineers and riders who developed them. The Desmo450 MX is born from the philosophy that has always inspired Ducati: testing solutions and technologies on the most demanding racetracks to then transfer to its production bikes, enhancing the riding skills of both amateurs and professionals.
The Desmo450 MX, winner of the Italian Prestige MX1 title on its debut with Alessandro Lupino , is currently competing in the MXGP World Championship in the hands of Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini , with a positive record of two podiums and numerous holeshots , demonstrating the validity of its desmodromic engine and the project in general. Nine-time world champion Tony Cairoli , whose experience was invaluable in the development of the Desmo450 MX, took part in two US Pro Motocross rounds, at Redbud and Spring Creek, laying the foundations for the operation that, in the near future, will see Ducati involved with Troy Lee Design in the American championships.
Enthusiasts who want to bring their new Desmo450 MX bikes closer to those ridden by official riders can already count on a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories. On the Ducati.com website, using the “Configurator” section, you can customize your Ducati and then share selected components, such as wheel hubs, triple clamps, a complete titanium Akrapovič exhaust, and Brembo Racing brake calipers, with your nearest dealer.
Finally, to complete the Factory look, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer offers a technical collection created in collaboration with Drudi Performance. The offering includes an Alpinestars jersey/pants/gloves/boots set, an Arai helmet, a wind vest, a softshell, and a Spidi rain jacket.
The Desmo450 MX press kit is available on Ducati Media House.
